Opera’s Chromium-based Web browser is now available on Linux

To the surprise of some, Opera has released a new version of its Web browser for Linux-based operating systems. Available to download now, the last new version of Opera for Linux was version 12.16 from around a year ago, which doesn’t include a lot of the newer features seen on other platforms. Opera stopped updating the Linux build when it abandoned its own rendering engine and browser stack in favor of Chromium. Now, a Chromium-based Opera 24 is available to download for developers.
